Supply Chain Stategist Position

GSC SC Strategist

Our client is one of the IT giants with around 20,000 employees worldwide. Its products share a large percentage of the market, globally and in China.

Due to an increase in its business activity and an ambitious worldwide strategy, they are currently looking for an GSC SC Strategist to be based in their Beijing office. The position requires fluent Mandarin and English and is a platform on which to demonstrate strong business analysis skills along with excellent interpersonal abilities with excellent China exposure and experience.

Responsibilities:

• End to End Supply Chain expert. Knowledgeable of current client supply chain structure, material and information flows, costs, serviceability, strengths and weaknesses.
• Current on industry best practices and supply chain trends with respect to the electronics manufacturing and consumer products industries including supply chain knowledge of major client's competitors.
• Creation and maintenance of the ideal "To-Be" supply chain addressing the industry trends, customer expectations and business constrains of client.
• Visionary break through thinking innovating client's supply chain for their customers, stockholders, company and employees.
• Manage living supply chain strategic roadmap
• Communicate and work with GSC executive leadership on the strategic roadmap
• Work with outside organizations to learn as well as represent client supply chain as an industry leader

Requirements:

High level knowledge of end-to-end supply chain processes, operations and key metrics.

• Industry research and analytical inference capabilities

• General knowledge of all major business functions of client, including Product Marketing and Development, Sales, GEO operational structure, Finance, Service and support.
• Analytical proposal generation skills
• Excellent teamwork skills
• Presentation creation and delivery skills
• 5+ years industry experience
• Ability to read, write and speak English required.
• Mandarin skills are also desired but not required.
• Ability to travel internationally as needed

Bachelors degree or above, major is supply chain management or equivalent experience. Masters degree or higher is preferred.
